The minigames in Chapter 2 were annoying. Now I get add things to do is good but I and imagine others would feel the same that we don't want to play Pong or Blackjack just to get to the next part. While this maybe really hard to design it would be good for her minigames to be more about her trying to trick you but you know she is kinda like the question where the hotdog guy tells you the wrong answer, and you know it so you just have that choice. Rather than just hoping you win the Blackjack game or pong etc. Or just have a cheat system for them to get out of it.
Aside from that though this is great from what I've seen.

Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that I've finished Chapter 5 and have released it on Patreon. However I'm not too familiar with how Itch works and I need to make sure that people who've already paid for the game have access to it without accidentally making it completely public. I have to say some things about this release (please dont take this personally i just want to help) 1st off all carnival phase was great by the gameplay aspect i really liked however what it had in quantity off games they lacked off quality everything kinda feels rushed and some scenes even lack good animation, minigames were great tho the only complain that i can think off is with like dodging balloons miningame the hitbox off the hot dog kinda felt a little bit bigger than it should have been. So that is how i feel, if you have time off course get back into the carnival stage and polish things to look little bit better both animation and artstyle wise outside off that i really enjoyed it!
Thanks so much for the feedback. A supporter on our discord actually brought up a very similiar point, and I'll definitely look into it. One change I'll make is significantly decrease the amount of balloons that need to be dodged; and another change is to add the option to skip the black jack game. As for lack of animation on some scenes, that's because animations were a support goal on Patreon, and it didn't get unlocked until mid-way through chapter 2. Btw, all goals have been reached at this point, so that is no longer an issue.

That being said, this is sorta just a side hobby of mine, although I'm surprised by the amount of support the game has gotten so far, the amount of time I can invest in it is admittedly quite limited. Your game is utter bullshit. I can't believe there's a paid version for this crap game, 9 dollars? Glad I got the free version but I still want a refund of the time spent playing this BS.

I welcome all criticism, and at the end of the day I think you're trying to say that the game is too hard, and I understand, I already have plans to lower the difficulty for the full version of the game. Chapter 2 is the only part that has a difficulty spike though, if you can get through it the remaining chapters are going to be much easier, I promise.
I don't consider myself a developer, just a guy who really likes horror hentai and has always wanted to make my own game for fun (I only learned renpy for like 2 months and had no prior background). As for the price, it's only $2 per chapter. I make no profit, the money goes entirely into the game's budget. If there was not enough budget, I would've stopped producing the game at chapter 1.
Regarding blackjack, the issue you described is entirely intentional, it's to build up Binky's character of having twisted humor. She's a clown afterall.

Thanks for the support. No need to worry about me, I mean what I said, I welcome all criticism, and I really did not take any offense. I could clearly see that behind those angered words, was a person who sat down and played my game up until the middle of Chp2, and that was enough to make me happy. Although he only played the free version, he would not have said all that if he did not become at least a little bit invested in the game, so of course I'd at least try to understand what displeased him so much and find ways to improve. Besides, thousands of people have downloaded the game, some of them are statistically bound to dislike it, that's to be expected.
Thanks for the feedback : )! May I ask what you didn't like about the balloon dodge so I can maybe improve it? Was it too hard/too long/too fast, or did you not like that type of game in general, or was it something else?
I think it's overall too hard. I highly recommend replacing it with a different minigame altogether. Maybe giving us full control of the hotdog with WASD or something but a Flappy Bird game? I just didn't find that appealing. Dodging 5 balloons? Yeah. 7 Balloons? Fair. 10? Excessive, but doable. But 15 balloons? After a certain point, the amount of effort I put in didn't seem worth the time.
I see. I can certainly decrease the difficulty by lowering the requirement to maybe...8 in my next update. Consider that a bandaid fix until I can perhaps think of a different game to replace it with (replacement game not guaranteed though, because Chp5 is going to be bigger, and I only have a few months to finish it before Halloween).
Thanks for playing! Unfortunately changing the MC's name was not planned for this game. The name has already been centered in dialogue, file names, and various types of naming conventions for the game's code. Changing it now would be kinda tedious. Maybe when the game is completed I'll find time to change everything at once.
This sounds a lot like it's supposed to be Monmusu Quest, honestly, and that's like the first VN I ever looked at lmao. So I'm super down for another Monmusu Quest. Side note, the menu music is awesome and I want a ten hour version of it yesterday.

Great game, fun story, great character designs but I HATE the balloon dodge in the Big Top. Really hope that gets changed in future versions!
